My favorite spots in Downtown Jefferson...

It's no secret, I've fallen a little bit in love with the sweet, little downtown of Jefferson, WI and it seems like every time I'm in the area I want to add something to the list!

Main Street can be a little sleepy on Sundays in general, so if you plan to drive through on your way in or out of our Fall at the Fairgrounds market on October 4th, take a peek around to get your lay of the land and make plans to come back and shop small another weekend or two leading up to the holiday season.

I was chatting with a local business owner recently about how lovely their Main Street is and her daughter said "when it snows, it's like a Hallmark movie!"

With music in the park, wine walks and family fun days, it feels a little bit like Stars Hollow come to life. It's just missing the gazebo, but the charm is all there.

Grab your baked goods from Bon Ton Bakery, (celebrating 109 years in business this year!) a burger from Wedl's Hamburger Stand (celebrating 110!) or coffee from Brickhaus Cafe or Tan-a-latte and find a spot to sit and enjoy the view of Rock River from Rotary Park.

Stop in Twice Baked Pottery (you may remember this wonderful artist from a past re:Craft and Relic market) or Vintage on Main. "Just Add Wine" is a local candle company with a booth inside Vintage on Main and trust me, it's worth checking out!

Speaking of wine... Wine and Roses has, you guessed it, both wine and stunning floral arrangements but they also carry other items that would make the perfect hostess gift.

I definitely want to mention SamiJo's Pizzeria located at 133 E Racine St. I stopped in to grab a slice of pepperoni pizza for lunch and the next week I was back again because I told Josh he needed this delicious New York style pizza in his life.

Can confirm - the Philly cheesesteak pizza was 10/10.

Honestly, I can tell you where to get a great smoothie or some fantastic BBQ, but what I have loved most is meeting the people in this community. Each place I have walked in - the business owners, the employees, even the customers standing next to me have been so genuine, so welcoming, so warm. As we strive to shine a light on small businesses in the area leading up to our Fall at the Fairgrounds market in October, I keep thinking about how special this place is and if you're looking for a small town to support, this is a good one to root for.
